Weeko Clip Terms of Use
Last updated: July 19, 2026
Welcome to Weeko Clip (the "Software").
These Terms of Use (the "Agreement") are an agreement between you and Weeko Team ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your download, installation, access, purchase, subscription, or use of the Software.
Before using the Software, please read and understand this Agreement and the Weeko Clip Privacy Policy. By installing, launching, purchasing, subscribing to, or continuing to use the Software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Agreement.
I. Software License
1. Scope of license
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the Software on macOS devices that you legally own or control.
This license grants only the right to use the Software. It does not transfer ownership of the Software, source code, trademarks, brand assets, or other intellectual property rights.
2. Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly allows and cannot be excluded by agreement, or unless we give written permission, you may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the source code of the Software;
- Bypass, crack, modify, or damage license verification, StoreKit purchase validation, Free or Pro entitlement limits;
- Copy, rent, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially host the Software;
- Modify, remove, or hide copyright notices, trademarks, or other rights notices;
- Use the Software for activities that violate laws, infringe third-party rights, or harm system security;
- Use the Software to save, distribute, or process content you do not have the right to handle.
II. Free Version, Pro Version, and Purchases
Weeko Clip may provide Free and Pro features. Specific features, limits, prices, and purchase methods are subject to the Software, App Store page, and Apple rules in applicable regions.
1. Free version
The current Free version generally includes:
- Up to 100 Recent records;
- Up to 20 key Favorites;
- Search and preview;
- Menu bar access;
- Global shortcuts;
- Privacy controls;
- Pause recording, ignored apps, and cleanup features.
Free features may change with product versions. We try to keep descriptions accurate, but the Software display prevails.
2. Pro version
The current Pro version generally includes:
- Up to 1000 Recent records;
- Up to 200 key Favorites;
- Manual export of Favorites as ZIP;
- Import Favorites from ZIP;
- Merge import or replace current Favorites;
Pro does not mean automatic cloud sync, automatic cloud backup, cloud restore, or unlimited storage. History and Favorites are still affected by local storage, software settings, system environment, and product limits.
3. Annual Pro and lifetime Pro
Weeko Clip may offer annual Pro, lifetime Pro, or other purchase methods. Prices, trials, discounts, taxes, renewals, refunds, and availability are subject to the Apple App Store display and Apple rules.
4. Subscriptions and Restore Purchases
If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store:
- Payment is completed through your Apple ID account after purchase confirmation;
- The subscription may renew automatically under Apple rules unless you turn off auto-renewal;
- Renewal charges, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management are handled by the Apple App Store;
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in macOS App Store account settings;
- Restore Purchases uses StoreKit to attempt to restore purchase state associated with the current Apple ID.
Except where required by law or Apple rules, completed purchases, refunds, cancellations, and subscription management follow Apple App Store rules.
III. Clipboard History Features
Weeko Clip is a local macOS clipboard history and favorites tool. Core features include recording, classification, search, preview, favorites, and copying back to the clipboard.
1. User-initiated enablement
On first launch, the Software shows a feature guide. You can choose to enable clipboard history or set it up later. After enabling, the Software reads the system clipboard according to your settings and saves eligible records locally.
After first enablement, the Software records only new copies that match your settings. It does not import clipboard content from before enablement. Content copied while recording is paused is not stored or added after recording resumes.
You can at any time:
- Pause recording;
- Resume recording;
- Turn off clipboard history;
- Disable specific content types;
- Ignore selected apps;
- Clear Recent or delete Favorites.
2. Clipboard content risks
Clipboard content is created by your own copy actions and may include:
- Passwords;
- Verification codes;
- API keys, access tokens, private keys, or other keys and tokens;
- Card numbers;
- Identity information;
- Private chat content;
- Business secrets;
- File paths or project paths;
- Copyright-protected text, images, or code.
Weeko Clip provides sensitive-content filtering, pause recording, per-type toggles, ignored apps, history cleanup, and Favorites management. These capabilities are auxiliary protections and do not guarantee that all sensitive content will be recognized or filtered.
If you handle sensitive information, we recommend pausing recording, disabling related types, deleting records promptly after use, or avoiding adding sensitive content to Favorites or backups.
IV. Recent Records, Favorites, and Menu Bar
Weeko Clip separates Recent records and Favorites:
- Recent records are for everyday copy history;
- Favorites are for important content;
- Deleting Recent records does not affect Favorites;
- Clearing history clears only Recent records and keeps Favorites.
For efficiency, the menu bar may show Recent and Favorites counts, up to four quick records from either collection, and actions such as direct copy, search, pause recording, ignore the most recent source app, clear Recent history, and open settings.
This menu bar content may be visible to others during presentations, recordings, screen sharing, or public use. You are responsible for deciding whether to pause recording, clear Recent, delete Favorites, or ignore related apps based on your environment.
V. Type Recognition, Search, and Preview
Weeko Clip attempts to identify clipboard content types and display them as text, code, links, colors, images, files, folders, or file groups.
The Software may also provide:
- JSON recognition;
- Code-style preview;
- Link titles and favicon display;
- Color format display and copying;
- File state checks;
- Missing-item prompts for file groups;
- Weighted search ranking;
- Visible list limits and filtering hints.
Type recognition, code recognition, JSON recognition, color recognition, link recognition, search matching, and preview display may be inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted. You should confirm content before copying, opening, exporting, or sharing it.
Current search does not include OCR, date filters, source-app filters, or saved searches. Source apps are used only for ignored-app controls and their names are not shown in history records.
VI. Files, Folders, File Groups, and Images
1. File paths are not backups
For regular files, folders, and file groups copied from Finder or other apps, Weeko Clip stores path references only. Image files are the exception: they keep the source path and may also keep a local cache of up to 64 MB per image for preview and reuse. Original files and folder contents are not copied into app storage.
Therefore:
- Path records are not file backups;
- The Software cannot guarantee that recorded files will always exist;
- Records may become invalid after files are moved, renamed, deleted, or permissions change;
- Folder size is not fully calculated;
- File groups record up to the first 100 item paths;
- If some file group items are missing, the Software may copy only available items.
Do not use Weeko Clip as a file backup, sync, or recovery tool.
2. Image content
Weeko Clip distinguishes inline clipboard images from image file paths:
- Inline images may be cached for preview, save as, opening with macOS Preview, and copying back to the clipboard;
- Image files copied from Finder keep the source path and may create a local cache of up to 64 MB per image; the original image file is not copied into app storage.
If images contain privacy, copyright, trade secrets, or other sensitive information, you are responsible for deciding whether saving, favoriting, exporting, sharing, or deleting them meets your security and compliance needs.
VII. Link Preview and External Websites
Weeko Clip can recognize URLs and display them as link records.
Before opening a link, the Software tries to provide a confirmation prompt. After you confirm, you leave the Software and visit an external website.
The "fetch link title and favicon" feature is off by default. Only after you enable it will the Software attempt to access links to fetch page titles and favicons. External websites are responsible for their own content, security, availability, privacy policies, and data processing. Weeko Clip cannot guarantee that external links are always safe, accurate, available, or as expected.
If a link contains sensitive parameters, access tokens, or private addresses, keep link preview off or delete the related record promptly.
VIII. Favorite Backup and Import
Weeko Clip supports manually exporting Favorites as ZIP and importing Favorites from ZIP. This feature is currently available to Pro users; current entitlements are shown in the Software and on the App Store page.
Favorite backups may include:
- Text;
- Code;
- Links;
- Colors;
- Inline images;
- Favicons;
- Local metadata related to Favorites.
For regular files, folders, and file groups, backups include path references only. Image-file entries may include a local cache of up to 64 MB per image; original files are not copied.
Favorite backups may be subject to limits on item count, file count, ZIP size, image size, and software version compatibility. Import supports merge or replace; replace import may overwrite current Favorites. You are responsible for keeping exported backup files secure and verifying that imported files come from trusted sources.
Except where required by law, you bear the risk of data leakage, data loss, or content overwrite caused by exporting, importing, replacing, sharing, deleting, or failing to protect backup files.
IX. Data Storage and Backup Responsibility
Weeko Clip uses local storage. Data generated by the Software, including clipboard history, Favorites, image caches, favicon caches, user settings, ignored apps, shortcuts, search indexes, and local state, is primarily stored on your device.
Because the Software does not provide cloud backup, automatic sync, or cloud restore, we cannot guarantee recovery for data loss caused by:
- Hardware damage;
- System reinstall;
- Disk failure;
- User deletion;
- Software uninstall;
- Third-party cleanup tools deleting app data;
- Changes in system permissions, sandbox, or storage policies.
We recommend using Time Machine or other backup tools for important data. For important Favorites, use the Favorite export feature for additional backups and keep exported ZIP files safe.
X. System Integrations and User Settings
Weeko Clip may provide:
- Menu bar app;
- Dock icon visibility toggle;
- Opening the clipboard list by clicking the Dock icon;
- Launch at login;
- Global shortcuts;
- Revealing files in Finder;
- Copying file paths;
- Opening images with macOS Preview;
- Multi-language interface.
These capabilities improve local usage. You should decide whether to enable them based on your system settings, security policy, and usage environment.
The current version supports macOS 13 and later. Actual compatibility, regional availability, and system requirements are shown on the App Store page and in the Software.
XI. Intellectual Property
The Software and related intellectual property, including but not limited to software code, user interface, icons, brand names, documentation, website content, and product design, are owned by Weeko Team or relevant rights holders.
Rights to data you copy, save, import, or create remain with you or the original rights holder as applicable. You must ensure that you have the right to copy, save, process, export, or share related content.
XII. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee that:
- The Software will always be completely error-free;
- All system environments will remain permanently compatible;
- All features will always be uninterrupted;
- All content recognition will be accurate;
- All sensitive content will be filtered;
- All file paths will remain valid;
- All links will be safe and accessible;
- All history, Favorites, or backup data will never be lost;
- All third-party websites, Apple App Store, or system services will always be available.

- Hardware environment changes;
- User configuration changes;
- File movement, deletion, or permission changes;
- Network environment changes;
- External website changes;
- Apple App Store, StoreKit, or related service changes.
To the extent permitted by law, Weeko Team is not liable for indirect losses, data loss, business losses, or losses arising from your own copying, saving, favoriting, exporting, sharing, opening links, handling file paths, or handling backup files.
XIII. Agreement Updates and Termination
We may update this Agreement based on product changes, legal requirements, App Store review requirements, or operational needs. The updated Agreement will be published on the official website or in the Software.
If you do not agree to the updated Agreement, stop using and uninstall the Software. If you violate this Agreement, we may terminate or restrict your software license to the extent permitted by law.
